Choose and install a professional LED floodlight

Choose and install a professional LED floodlight

No matter the size of your yard, you need good lighting. Specially designed for outdoor work, the professional LED floodlight is a guarantee of safety and productivity. It helps prevent eye strain and helps reduce the risk of accidents at construction sites. With this type of outdoor LED lighting, you get an intense light while enjoying durable equipment. Here are our tips for choosing the right one for you and for a successful installation.

The criteria for selecting a professional LED floodlight

Generally, the power of a LED worksite projector ranges from 10 to 200 Watts. If you use machines with a good lighting system, or if your lighting area is small enough, an 80 to 100 Watt LED spotlight may be the right choice. To illuminate a large-scale project, opt for a powerful LED floodlight of 100, 150 or 200 Watts. The workers will be able to work precisely. Remember to count all points to be illuminated to know the number of professional LED projectors needed.

The color temperature of the LED floodlight

The lighting color is also an important criterion to consider when choosing a professional LED floodlight. Note that color temperature can influence our visual perception. It is therefore essential to choose it well. Between 2300 and 3500 Kelvin, we speak of warm white, which is a slightly aggressive white light with a slightly yellow tone. Around 4,000 Kelvin, the light is considered neutral, close to daylight. Beyond 5500 Kelvin, the light is cold white type. The latter is perfectly suited to the lighting of a construction site. A cold light is indeed very bright and clear and restores the tints of the illuminated elements in a very faithful way.

The radiation angle of the industrial LED floodlight

The choice of the lighting angle of a professional LED floodlight must be made according to the use you wish to make of it. For most construction sites, you can opt for one or more models offering a wide field of view, with a light beam of more than 120 °. If you need to illuminate small areas or objects, in particular, we recommend installing multiple projectors with a tight angle of diffusion between 30 and 50 °, you will find LED spotlights that can be placed on a directional stand or tripod mount. This adjusts the angle of radiation and directs the light in the desired direction.

Professional LED projector wired or rechargeable?

The wired LED spotlight must be permanently plugged into a 220-volt outlet. You must, therefore, provide a power source. A wired model is suitable for large-scale projects. It keeps a constant light throughout the duration of the work. If the connection to the mains is not possible, you can turn to rechargeable LED projectors. Portable, these can also be interesting in case you have to work on several sites at the same time. With a lithium battery, these professional LED projectors allow you to work independently. They offer great flexibility and can act as extra lighting. We advise you to choose a battery that offers sufficient autonomy, so you can work without interruption. Some offer 12 hours of autonomy.
