The choice of the location of the LED floodlight with motion detector

The ideal would be to fix the LED spotlight 3 meters above the ground for better efficiency. At this height, the detection distance is between 1 and 10 meters. Make sure there are no obstacles in the detector's field of action. Be aware that the motion sensor is sensitive to heat. Avoid orienting the professional LED projector towards a light source or reflective material such as glass. After locating the location, secure the projector bracket with the screws and plugs.

The connection of the LED floodlight

Make sure the power is off before making the electrical connections. This outdoor LED lighting device is powered by a cable that has three conductors. The switchgear can be switched off by placing a switch on the path. Do not hesitate to open the back cover of your LED spotlight to locate the terminal strip. The latter has four connection terminals, but you only need three of them: the phase (red), the neutral (blue) and the earth (green-yellow). Unlock the cable clamp first so that the wires fit easily into the case. Then, tighten each wire into the appropriate terminal, then lock the clamp. All you have to do is fix your professional LED projector.

Test your professional LED floodlight with motion detector

Once the professional LED projector is fixed, you can proceed with the various tests. First, move slowly into the coverage area to test the detector's operation. Then rotate the sensor up and down to determine the range, then adjust the light sensitivity by turning the dedicated knob.
